Mid Level Project Management Consultant Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a mid level project management consultant job?
Position yourself around ownership, not just participation. Highlight projects where you led planning, managed scope changes, or resolved stakeholder conflicts directly. Employers at this level want to see documented delivery outcomes, familiarity with frameworks like PMP, Agile, or Scrum, and evidence that you can operate with limited direction. A targeted resume that maps your experience to concrete business results will move you forward faster than a generalist profile.
Which companies hire mid level project management consultants?
Companies hiring mid level project management consultants right now include EY, EisnerAmper, and PwC, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hiring at this level comes from a wide range of employers, including consulting firms, large enterprises running transformation programs, and mid-size organizations building out their project management functions.
Are there remote mid level project management consultant jobs?
Yes, though availability varies by industry and employer type. About 49% of mid level project management consultant openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting strong demand from consulting firms and technology-adjacent sectors that rely on distributed delivery teams. On-site roles remain common in industries where client presence and facility access are part of the work.
How do I move up to a mid level project management consultant role?
The path from entry level to mid level is built on demonstrated ownership over time. Focus on taking full accountability for smaller projects early, then expanding scope as your reliability is established. Developing depth in a methodology, earning a recognized certification, and building a record of measurable outcomes, like on-time delivery or budget adherence, signals readiness. Consistent feedback from senior colleagues and clients accelerates the transition.
Which industries hire the most mid level project management consultants?
Mid Level project management consultant roles concentrate in Accounting & Auditing, Consulting & Professional Services, and Technology & Software, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors drive hiring at this level because they run large, complex initiatives that require experienced consultants who can manage competing priorities, coordinate internal and external teams, and keep programs on schedule without close supervision.
