Entry Level Project Management Specialist Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level project management specialist job?
Start by earning a foundational certification like CAPM or Google Project Management Certificate, then highlight any internship, academic project, or volunteer coordination work on your resume. Entry level employers look for candidates who can demonstrate organization, clear communication, and familiarity with tools like Asana, Jira, or Microsoft Project. A concise portfolio showing a project you managed from start to finish gives you a real edge at this stage.
Which companies hire entry level project management specialists?
Companies hiring entry level project management specialists right now include Capgemini, L3Harris, and Medtronic, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. At this level, hiring tends to come from mid-size to large organizations across government contracting, consulting, healthcare, and technology, where structured onboarding and mentorship programs help new specialists build skills quickly.
Are there remote entry level project management specialist jobs?
Yes, though remote availability at this level is more limited than for experienced roles. About 22% of entry level project management specialist openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, so candidates who are open to on-site or hybrid arrangements will see the widest range of opportunities while building the hands-on experience employers value early in this career path.
Are these new grad project management specialist jobs?
Yes, the listings on this page include new grad, recent graduate, and junior project management specialist roles. A posting is new-grad friendly when it welcomes zero to two years of experience, counts internships or co-ops toward that requirement, or explicitly accepts a portfolio of academic or volunteer projects in place of full-time work history. Look for language like "entry level," "no experience required," or "recent graduates encouraged to apply."
Which industries hire the most entry level project management specialists?
Entry Level project management specialist roles concentrate in Technology & Software, Medical Devices, and Construction & Real Estate, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors drive entry level hiring because they run high volumes of structured projects, depend on cross-functional coordination, and have enough scale to absorb junior specialists into dedicated project management tracks with clear paths for advancement.
