Project Manager Jobs in Tempe: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a project manager job in Tempe?
Focus on Tempe's strongest hiring sectors: technology firms near the ASU Research Park, construction and infrastructure companies tied to ongoing Tempe development, and financial services employers along the Tempe Town Lake corridor. Candidates who hold a PMP certification or demonstrate experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies stand out. Familiarity with large-scale construction or tech product cycles gives you a concrete edge with the employer types that concentrate here.
Which companies hire project managers in Tempe?
Tempe project manager roles are posted by Rosendin Electric, Jobot, and Honeywell Aerospace and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Tempe attracts a mix of corporate headquarters, regional tech offices, and large construction and engineering firms, so openings come from both established enterprises and fast-growing mid-size companies.
Are there remote project manager jobs in Tempe?
Yes, though availability depends heavily on the type of project work. About 15% of project manager openings tied to Tempe are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, with the highest remote share in software, IT, and financial services roles. Construction, facilities, and infrastructure projects based in Tempe typically require consistent on-site presence.
How can I get a project manager job in Tempe with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Tempe is moving into a coordinator or project analyst role at one of the city's technology or construction firms, then building toward a full PM title. Arizona State University's proximity means many Tempe employers are familiar with recent graduates and actively hire for associate-level roles. Earning a CAPM certification and volunteering to lead internal projects in any current role accelerates that transition significantly.
Which industries hire the most project managers in Tempe?
Most project manager openings in Tempe sit in Consulting & Professional Services, Construction & Real Estate, and Staffing & Recruiting, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Tempe's concentration of tech company offices, large-scale residential and commercial construction, and a growing financial services hub creates consistent, year-round demand across all three sectors.
