We are a performance driven team where individual contributors have direct impact on project outcomes and company growth.
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced, hands on Superintendent to lead day-to-day field operations on active commercial construction projects. Projects are primarily located in the Central Florida / Orlando metro area. Reliable transportation required.
Key Responsibilities:

- Direct and manage all subcontractor activity on-site and enforce scope compliance, quality standards, and sequencing
- Conduct daily site walks, document progress, open issues, and non-conforming work with written logs and photos
- Lead weekly subcontractor coordination meetings; enforce milestone dates and flag schedule risks to the PM
- Enforce all OSHA safety requirements; conduct daily safety inspections, toolbox talks, and incident reporting
- Manage trade deliveries, material staging, crane picks, and site logistics to maintain a productive, organized jobsite
- Coordinate building inspections with the project manager; ensure work is ready and documentation is in place
- Review subcontractor RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings in the field; flag conflicts and coordinate resolutions with the PM
- Maintain as-built markups and document field changes; communicate design conflicts to the design team through the PM
- Manage punchlist and closeout process. You drive subcontractors to completion and coordinate final inspections through Certificate of Occupancy
- Represent Mulligan Constructors professionally with owners, inspectors, public agencies, and the design team during site visits
Qualifications Required:
- 5+ years of field construction experience with at least 2 years as a lead superintendent on ground-up commercial projects
- Demonstrated experience on commercial ground up construction across multiple asset classes
- Deep knowledge of construction sequencing, trade coordination, and the full project lifecycle from site work through CO
- Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents
- OSHA 30 certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
- Proficiency in scheduling tools (MS Project, RedTeam, or equivalent); comfortable with digital project management platforms
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to Central Florida project sites

Project Superintendent Jobs in Orlando: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a project superintendent job in Orlando?
Focus your search on Orlando's active construction corridors: the Lake Nona Medical City build-out, Universal's Epic Universe development zone, and the ongoing I-4 Ultimate infrastructure projects draw the most superintendent hiring. General contractors and specialty subcontractors working in hospitality, healthcare facilities, and mixed-use development give candidates the strongest footing. Field experience on phased, occupied-site projects and familiarity with Florida Building Code inspections will set you apart from applicants with only residential backgrounds.
Which companies hire project superintendents in Orlando?
Companies currently hiring project superintendents in Orlando include Baker Construction Enterprises, BELFOR, and DWM, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of November 2026. Orlando's market skews toward large general contractors and owner-developers active in hospitality, healthcare, and mixed-use commercial construction.
Are there remote project superintendent jobs in Orlando?
Yes, but only for a narrow slice of the role. Superintendents manage on-site crews and daily field operations, so fully remote work is rare by nature. About 35% of project superintendent openings tied to Orlando are remote or hybrid as of November 2026, mostly covering pre-construction coordination, scheduling, and owner-reporting functions. Hybrid arrangements are most common at larger development firms managing multiple concurrent Orlando-area sites.
How can I get a project superintendent job in Orlando with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Orlando is through an assistant superintendent or field engineer role with a mid-size general contractor working in the hospitality or multifamily sectors, both of which have active pipelines in the metro. Valencia College's construction management program has relationships with local contractors who hire graduating students into field-side roles. Volunteering for punch-list and closeout coordination on smaller projects builds the site documentation experience Orlando employers look for before promoting to a lead superintendent position.
