Mid Level Promotions Director Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a mid level promotions director job?
Lead with ownership. Hiring managers at this level want to see campaigns you directed from brief to results, not just supported. Highlight cross-functional coordination, any budget you managed, and measurable outcomes like conversion lifts or revenue tied to your promotions. A portfolio or case study that shows strategic thinking, not just execution, is what separates candidates at this stage.
Which companies hire mid level promotions directors?
Companies hiring mid level promotions directors right now include DoorDash, CELLA, and Google, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. At this experience level, you'll find openings across both large consumer brands with dedicated promotions teams and mid-size retailers and media companies building out their marketing functions.
Are there remote mid level promotions director jobs?
Yes, though availability varies by industry. About 33% of mid level promotions director openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, with fully remote roles more common in digital media, e-commerce, and technology verticals than in retail or events-driven organizations that require on-site campaign coordination.
How do I move up to a mid level promotions director role?
The path from entry level to mid level is built on demonstrated ownership and expanding scope. Start by taking full accountability for smaller campaigns, then pursue opportunities to manage vendor relationships, coordinate with sales and creative teams, and tie your work to measurable business outcomes. Professionals who can show progressively larger projects and a pattern of independent decision-making are the ones who advance.
Which industries hire the most mid level promotions directors?
Mid Level promotions director roles concentrate in Technology & Software, Retail, and Food & Beverage, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors drive hiring at this level because they depend on frequent, high-volume promotional activity that requires experienced professionals who can execute strategy without close supervision.
