How do I get a property accountant job in Dallas?
Target the multifamily and commercial real estate firms clustered in Uptown, the CBD, and Las Colinas, where most Dallas property accountant openings concentrate. Candidates with experience in property management software like Yardi or MRI gain a clear edge here, since Dallas landlords and REITs rely heavily on both platforms. Yes, though remote availability is limited since property accountants often need access to property-level records and on-site coordination. About 0% of property accountant openings tied to Dallas are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, with hybrid arrangements most common at larger firms headquartered in the CBD or Las Colinas where lease administration and reporting work is primarily desk-based.
How can I get a property accountant job in Dallas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Dallas is through accounts payable or general accounting roles at a local property management company, where you handle vendor payments and CAM reconciliations before stepping into a full property accountant position. Smaller multifamily operators in neighborhoods like Uptown and Oak Lawn regularly hire junior accountants and train on the job. Familiarity with Yardi, even through online coursework, makes a candidate stand out at the entry level.
