Senior QA engineer to become a part of the team, contributing significantly to the effort of modernizing legacy applications through their migration to AI based services. The ideal candidate will have a passion for quality, a strong technical background in automation of test scripts, and a proven track record of success in delivering high-quality software products.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Technical Responsibilities:
- Test the accuracy, performance, and usability of speech recognition models and systems, ensuring they understand a wide variety of accents, dialects, and languages in real-world environments.
- Lead the test design and test execution to verify software components in alignment with requirements and architecture defined.
- Develop test strategy to verify complex systems independently.
- Document and report bugs found during testing, collaborate with the development team for resolutions, and perform regression testing to ensure fixes are effective.
- Ability to influence teams to achieve project quality objectives.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand system requirements and ensure test coverage aligns with business needs.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: What you will need (strongly desired): Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of speech recognition technologies and APIs (Microsoft Azure Speech or similar).
- Experience with test automation methodologies like TestNg framework.
- Familiarity with machine learning models and how they apply to speech recognition systems.
- Understands the theory and methods of testing on-prem/cloud applications and can apply them under minimal supervision while demonstrating:
- Ability to create and implement testing methods, recording the test results and prepare test metrics.
- Capability to test all aspects of the product/system including function/component, system, performance, regression and service. Strong analytical skills and ability to formulate test documentation (e.g. testing protocols, test reports) skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in Agile development environments.
- JIRA experience is must.
- Working knowledge of Azure/cloud environments, including cloud
- services, deployment models, and application testing considerations.
- Ability to rapidly learn new technologies, processes, and business context while contributing productively in a fast-paced environment.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in software engineering/ computer science or related discipline & 10+ years of relevant work experience.
Experience:
- Microsoft Azure Speech or similar: 1 year (Required)
- TestNG: 2 years (Required)
- Test automation: 4 years (Preferred)
