QA Analyst Jobs in South Carolina: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a qa analyst in South Carolina?
Most qa analyst roles in South Carolina require a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a closely related field, though candidates with an associate degree plus relevant certifications are considered for junior positions. South Carolina does not issue a state license for qa analysts, so hiring decisions hinge on credentials like the ISTQB Certified Tester or the ASQ Certified Quality Technician, combined with a demonstrable portfolio of test plans, defect logs, or automation scripts.
How much do QA analysts make in South Carolina?
QA analysts in South Carolina earn a median of about $97,500 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $50,070 for the lowest 10% to over $135,390 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire qa analysts in South Carolina?
South Carolina qa analyst roles are posted by Food Lion, Infojini, and Blue Cross Blue Shield and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. South Carolina's mix of automotive suppliers, aerospace contractors, and hospital systems means openings appear across both manufacturing quality and software QA functions.
Which South Carolina cities have the most qa analyst jobs?
Columbia, Charleston, and Myrtle Beach account for the largest share of qa analyst openings in South Carolina. Columbia's concentration of state government technology offices and university medical infrastructure drives demand there, Greenville's automotive and advanced manufacturing corridor creates consistent quality roles at suppliers and OEM facilities, and Charleston's growing technology and logistics sector fuels software QA hiring.
Are there remote qa analyst jobs in South Carolina?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 8% of qa analyst openings tied to South Carolina are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting how much of the work involves writing test cases, running automated suites, and filing defect reports in shared digital environments. Software QA and test automation roles are the most remote-friendly, while positions embedded in manufacturing quality systems typically require an on-site presence.
How can I get hired as a qa analyst in South Carolina with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying to associate or junior QA roles at South Carolina's larger technology services firms and hospital systems, which routinely bring on candidates who demonstrate hands-on testing through a portfolio or a bootcamp capstone project. Employers such as MUSC Health and Bosch's South Carolina operations have hired from lateral roles like technical support analyst or data entry specialist. Earning the ISTQB Foundation Level certification before applying gives a candidate a concrete credential that distinguishes them from other entry-level applicants in the state.
Where can I find and apply to qa analyst jobs in South Carolina?
You can find and apply to qa analyst jobs in South Carolina on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings across the state. Search the available roles, identify the ones that match your background and location, and apply directly to the ones that fit.
