Quality Engineer Jobs in Atlanta: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a quality engineer job in Atlanta?
Focus your search on Atlanta's three strongest hiring pockets: the advanced manufacturing and automotive suppliers concentrated along the I-85 northeast corridor, the medical device and biotech employers clustered in Midtown and around Emory, and the aerospace and defense contractors near Peachtree City and Marietta. Candidates who hold an ASQ Certified Quality Engineer credential or hands-on experience with lean and Six Sigma stand out noticeably in this market.
Which companies hire quality engineers in Atlanta?
Companies currently hiring quality engineers in Atlanta include Anduril, QTS, and Capgemini, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Atlanta's mix of global manufacturers, regional medical device firms, and defense contractors means openings appear across a wide range of employer sizes and sectors.
Are there remote quality engineer jobs in Atlanta?
Yes, but with important limits: quality engineer roles that require on-site inspections, equipment calibration, or production floor oversight are almost never remote, while quality systems, compliance documentation, and supplier quality roles can be done remotely. About 85% of quality engineer openings tied to Atlanta are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, skewing toward software quality assurance and quality management system roles rather than hands-on manufacturing positions.
How can I get a quality engineer job in Atlanta with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Atlanta is a quality technician or quality inspector role at one of the region's mid-size automotive suppliers or contract manufacturers along the I-85 corridor, which regularly promote from within. Georgia Tech graduates with an industrial or mechanical engineering background also find strong footing in Atlanta's quality assurance hiring pipeline. Earning an ASQ Certified Quality Improvement Associate credential before applying signals initiative and helps compensate for a thinner work history.
Which industries hire the most quality engineers in Atlanta?
Atlanta quality engineer roles concentrate in Energy, Technology & Software, and Consulting & Professional Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Atlanta's position as a regional hub for automotive assembly and parts suppliers, a growing biomedical corridor, and a longstanding aerospace and defense base around Dobbins Air Reserve Base drives consistent demand across all three sectors.
