Radiology Technologist Jobs in St. Louis: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a radiology technologist job in St. Louis?
St. Louis hires radiology technologists most heavily through its large academic medical centers, regional hospital networks, and the growing cluster of outpatient imaging facilities in the Central West End and Creve Coeur suburbs. Candidates with cross-training in CT or MRI move faster in this market, since many St. Louis employers run multi-modality departments and prefer technologists who can cover more than plain film.
Which companies hire radiology technologists in St. Louis?
Employers hiring radiology technologists in St. Louis right now include BJC HealthCare, SSM Health, and American Traveler, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. St. Louis hiring is led by major health systems and academic hospital campuses, alongside a dense network of independent and corporate-owned outpatient imaging centers throughout the metro.
How can I get a radiology technologist job in St. Louis with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in St. Louis is completing a clinical rotation at one of the city's hospital-affiliated radiologic technology programs and converting that placement into a per-diem or staff position. St. Louis health systems regularly hire new graduates into float pool roles covering multiple departments, and outpatient imaging chains in the suburbs often post entry-level positions that prioritize completed clinical hours over prior employment. ARRT registration on first attempt is a common edge here.
Which industries hire the most radiology technologists in St. Louis?
St. Louis radiology technologist roles concentrate in Healthcare & Medical Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. St. Louis's identity as a regional medical hub, anchored by major academic health centers and a growing life sciences corridor in the Cortex district, keeps healthcare and diagnostic imaging consistently at the top of local hiring.
