Real Estate Analyst Jobs in Georgia: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a real estate analyst in Georgia?
Most real estate analyst roles in Georgia require a bachelor's degree in finance, real estate, economics, or a related field. While no mandatory state license is required for purely analytical work, many Georgia employers prefer or require candidates to hold or pursue a license through the Georgia Real Estate Commission, which administers the salesperson and broker exams. Strong Argus and Excel modeling skills, combined with familiarity with Atlanta-area commercial submarkets, are the practical credentials that open doors.
How much do real estate analysts make in Georgia?
Real estate analysts in Georgia earn a median of about $99,420 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $66,140 for the lowest 10% to over $167,700 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire real estate analysts in Georgia?
Employers hiring real estate analysts in Georgia right now include Truist, NorthMarq, and OnTrac, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Georgia's concentration of institutional owners, REITs, and corporate headquarters in the Atlanta metro means analyst openings tend to cluster around commercial investment and portfolio management firms rather than residential brokerages.
Which Georgia cities have the most real estate analyst jobs?
Atlanta have the most real estate analyst openings in Georgia. Atlanta accounts for the large majority of postings because it is home to major corporate headquarters, institutional investors, and commercial REITs, while surrounding submarkets like Sandy Springs and Alpharetta generate additional openings tied to corporate real estate and financial services campuses located along the GA-400 corridor.
Are there remote real estate analyst jobs in Georgia?
Yes, and more than many real estate roles, since the analytical and modeling work is largely desk-based. About 33% of real estate analyst openings tied to Georgia are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting the fact that financial modeling, underwriting, and reporting tasks transfer well to remote settings. The parts of the role most likely to remain on-site are property tours, client presentations, and market diligence work that requires local access.
How can I get hired as a real estate analyst in Georgia with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying for junior analyst or analyst associate roles at Atlanta-based commercial real estate firms and institutional owners, where new-graduate hiring is common. Cousins Properties and other Georgia-headquartered REITs periodically run structured associate programs for recent graduates. Lateral moves from adjacent roles such as financial analyst, appraisal trainee, or loan analyst at Georgia community banks are also common entry points. Completing the Argus Enterprise certification and pursuing a Georgia Real Estate Commission license while job-searching gives candidates a measurable edge over peers without those credentials.
