Real Estate Analyst Jobs in Tennessee: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a real estate analyst in Tennessee?
Most Tennessee employers require a bachelor's degree in real estate, finance, economics, or a related discipline as the starting point. Real estate analysts who move into brokerage or investment advisory roles may need a Tennessee real estate license issued through the Tennessee Real Estate Commission, which requires completing approved coursework and passing the state exam. Analyst roles focused purely on research and underwriting typically do not require licensure, though designations like the CFA or CCIM strengthen candidacy significantly.
How much do real estate analysts make in Tennessee?
Real estate analysts in Tennessee earn a median of about $92,990 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $50,130 for the lowest 10% to over $140,870 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire real estate analysts in Tennessee?
Employers hiring real estate analysts in Tennessee right now include AutoZone, NorthMarq, and Starbucks, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of October 2026. Tennessee's active commercial development pipeline and growing institutional investment activity mean that both national firms with regional offices and locally headquartered real estate companies maintain consistent analyst demand across the state.
Which Tennessee cities have the most real estate analyst jobs?
Nashville and Memphis lead Tennessee for real estate analyst openings. Nashville dominates due to its rapid commercial and multifamily development and the concentration of investment firms and REITs headquartered there, while Memphis draws demand through its logistics and industrial property sectors, and Knoxville contributes openings tied to its expanding retail and mixed-use development activity.
Are there remote real estate analyst jobs in Tennessee?
Yes, and more than most fields. Real estate analysis is largely desk-based work involving financial modeling, market research, and report writing, which lends itself well to remote arrangements. About 0% of real estate analyst openings tied to Tennessee are remote or hybrid as of October 2026, reflecting that flexibility. Market research, portfolio reporting, and underwriting support roles tend to be the most remote-compatible, while acquisition and site selection roles more often require in-market presence.
How can I get hired as a real estate analyst in Tennessee with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through a financial analyst or research associate role at a commercial real estate firm or bank with a Tennessee presence, then transitioning once you have demonstrated underwriting or modeling exposure. Large Tennessee employers like Colliers, CBRE, and regional community banks with CRE portfolios occasionally hire analysts directly from finance or economics programs. Building proficiency in Argus Enterprise or CoStar, completing a CCIM candidacy course, or completing an internship with a Tennessee-based developer or investment firm gives entry-level candidates a concrete edge over general applicants.
Where can I find and apply to real estate analyst jobs in Tennessee?
You can find and apply to real estate analyst jobs in Tennessee on Migrate Mate, which lists current Tennessee openings. Search the available roles, find the ones that fit your background and target market, and apply directly to the employers posting them.
