Real Estate Jobs in Pittsburgh: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a real estate job in Pittsburgh?
The strongest entry points in Pittsburgh are residential sales with local brokerages, commercial leasing tied to the Downtown and Strip District office market, and property management serving the Oakland and Shadyside rental corridor. Candidates who know Pittsburgh's distinct neighborhoods, have a Pennsylvania real estate license, and can demonstrate local market familiarity stand out most with Pittsburgh hiring managers.
Which companies hire real estates in Pittsburgh?
Employers hiring real estates in Pittsburgh right now include Latitude AI, KeyPleaz, and NFP, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Pittsburgh's market includes regional brokerages, commercial property management firms, institutional landlords tied to the healthcare and university anchors in Oakland, and development companies active along the riverfront corridors.
Are there remote real estate jobs in Pittsburgh?
Yes, though remote work is limited for client-facing and property-side roles that require physical presence. About 100% of real estate openings tied to Pittsburgh are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, covering positions where that arrangement is practical. The roles most likely to offer remote or hybrid flexibility in Pittsburgh are transaction coordination, real estate analytics, and back-office property management support.
How can I get a real estate job in Pittsburgh with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Pittsburgh is joining a residential brokerage as a licensed agent, where many firms hire new licensees and provide mentorship under experienced producers. Property management companies serving the large student rental market around Oakland and CMU also hire coordinators and leasing consultants with no prior real estate experience. Familiarity with Pittsburgh's neighborhood dynamics and a Pennsylvania real estate license give entry-level candidates a clear edge over generalist applicants.
