Real Estate Jobs in Utah: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a real estate agent in Utah?
To work as a real estate salesperson in Utah you must complete a pre-licensing course approved by the Utah Division of Real Estate, pass the Utah Real Estate Sales Agent Exam administered by PSI, and apply for your license through the Division. You then need to affiliate with a licensed Utah brokerage before you can practice. Continuing education is required to renew your license every two years.
Which companies hire real estate agents in Utah?
Companies currently hiring real estates in Utah include CBRE, Red Sign Team, and Lockton Companies, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Utah's rapid population growth and strong commercial development pipeline mean that both residential brokerages and commercial real estate firms maintain consistent hiring activity throughout the year.
Which Utah cities have the most real estate jobs?
Salt Lake City, Lehi, and Orem are the Utah cities with the most real estate openings. Salt Lake City drives the largest share of demand as the state's commercial and corporate hub, while Provo's tech-sector growth fuels a strong residential market, and St. George's retirement and second-home communities support a steady stream of agent and property management roles in the south.
Are there remote real estate jobs in Utah?
Yes, but they're rare. Most real estate work requires in-person showings, site visits, and client meetings, so fully remote positions are uncommon. About 39% of real estate openings tied to Utah are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, and those positions tend to be in transaction coordination, property management administration, or real estate marketing rather than direct sales.
How can I get hired in real estate in Utah with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is obtaining your Utah salesperson license and joining a brokerage that offers a formal training program, such as the new-agent mentorship programs run by larger Salt Lake City brokerages like Coldwell Banker and Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices. Roles in transaction coordination or leasing administration at property management firms are common lateral entry points that build foundational skills. A completed pre-licensing course and a passing exam score give candidates an immediate edge when applying to these teams.
Where can I find and apply to real estate jobs in Utah?
You can find and apply to real estate jobs in Utah on Migrate Mate, which lists current Utah openings across residential brokerages, commercial firms, and property management companies. Search the listings to find roles that match your license level and specialty, then apply directly to the ones that fit your background.
