Real Estate Jobs in Georgia: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a real estate agent in Georgia?
To become a licensed real estate agent in Georgia, you must complete a 75-hour pre-license course from a school approved by the Georgia Real Estate Commission, pass the Georgia real estate salesperson exam, and submit an application to the Commission. You must also be affiliated with a licensed Georgia broker before your license activates. The Georgia Real Estate Commission oversees all licensing, renewals, and continuing education requirements in the state.
Which companies hire real estate agents in Georgia?
Employers hiring real estates in Georgia right now include Unlock Realty, Inspire Network, and The Hester, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Georgia's rapidly expanding suburbs, particularly in the Atlanta metro, have kept large regional brokerages and national franchises consistently staffed.
Which Georgia cities have the most real estate jobs?
Atlanta, Decatur, and Woodstock have the most real estate job openings in Georgia. Atlanta drives the bulk of demand given its scale as the state's commercial and residential center, while Savannah's historic market and ongoing coastal development fuel openings there, and Augusta benefits from steady military-adjacent and healthcare-driven housing demand near Fort Eisenhower.
Are there remote real estate jobs in Georgia?
Yes, but they're rare. About 44% of real estate openings tied to Georgia are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting how client-facing and property-dependent most of the work is. The roles most likely to be fully remote are back-office positions such as transaction coordination, real estate marketing, and certain property management administrative functions.
How can I get hired as a real estate agent in Georgia with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is completing the Georgia Real Estate Commission's required pre-license education, passing the salesperson exam, and joining a brokerage that provides structured mentorship for new agents. Large Georgia brokerages such as Keller Williams and Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices run agent development and coaching programs designed for people without a sales history. Candidates coming from adjacent roles in mortgage lending, property management, or title services often find it easier to land their first position, and holding an active Georgia license before applying gives you a clear edge over unlicensed candidates.
Where can I find and apply to real estate jobs in Georgia?
You can find and apply to real estate jobs in Georgia on Migrate Mate, which lists current Georgia openings across brokerages, property management firms, and commercial real estate companies. Find roles that fit your experience and license level and apply directly from the listings.
