Market Development Manager Jobs in Georgia: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a market development manager in Georgia?
The most direct path is a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field combined with several years of B2B sales or channel management experience in Georgia's dominant sectors, such as technology, distribution, or financial services. No state-issued license or registration is required for this role in Georgia. Employers in Atlanta and Alpharetta typically promote from inside sales or regional account management roles, so building that foundation first is the most reliable route.
How much do market development managers make in Georgia?
Market development managers in Georgia earn a median of about $160,760 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $94,390 for the lowest 10% to over $277,180 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire market development managers in Georgia?
Employers hiring market development managers in Georgia right now include Spectrum, Newell Brands, and Bank of America, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Georgia's concentration of technology firms, logistics companies, and consumer goods headquarters in the Atlanta metro means consistent demand for market development talent across both enterprise and mid-market employers.
Which Georgia cities have the most market development manager jobs?
Atlanta and Smyrna have the most market development manager openings in Georgia. Atlanta dominates because it is home to a dense cluster of Fortune 500 headquarters and regional corporate offices in technology, financial services, and distribution, while Alpharetta's Avalon technology corridor and Savannah's growing logistics and port-related industries drive demand in those markets.
Are there remote market development manager jobs in Georgia?
Yes, and they're more common than in many roles, since market development work is largely strategic, relationship-driven, and client-facing rather than tied to a fixed physical location. About 67% of market development manager openings tied to Georgia are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting how widely employers have accepted flexible arrangements for this function. The most remote-friendly parts of the role tend to be strategy, reporting, and partner communication rather than in-person territory coverage.
How can I get hired as a market development manager in Georgia with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry point is an inside sales, sales development representative, or marketing coordinator role at a Georgia-based technology or distribution company, particularly in Atlanta or Alpharetta, where employers like NCR Voyix and Genuine Parts Company run structured associate programs that feed into market development tracks. A Google Career Certificate, HubSpot certification, or demonstrable CRM experience gives candidates a concrete edge when competing for those entry roles. Lateral moves from customer success or channel support are also well-established paths into market development at Georgia employers.
Where can I find and apply to market development manager jobs in Georgia?
You can find and apply to market development manager jobs in Georgia on Migrate Mate, which lists current Georgia openings updated regularly. Find roles that fit your experience and location preference and apply directly to each one.
