Entry Level Registered Dental Hygienist Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level registered dental hygienist job?
Entry level registered dental hygienist roles prioritize your state license, clinical hours completed during your dental hygiene program, and hands-on experience with prophylaxis, charting, and patient education. Candidates who can demonstrate comfort with digital radiography and practice management software stand out. Highlighting externship or clinic rotations on your resume, and being open to part-time or associate positions, gives you a strong edge at this stage.
Which companies hire entry level registered dental hygienists?
Companies hiring entry level registered dental hygienists right now include Aspen Dental, 42 North Dental, and Heartland Dental, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. At this level, hiring comes from a mix of multi-location dental group practices, private family dentistry offices, and community health clinics that are structured to onboard and develop new graduates.
Are there remote entry level registered dental hygienist jobs?
Yes, though most hygienist roles require in-person patient care. About 0% of entry level registered dental hygienist openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and these positions tend to be in health education, patient outreach coordination, or dental insurance consulting rather than direct clinical practice. On-site roles remain the clear majority at this experience level.
Are these new grad registered dental hygienist jobs?
Yes, the listings on this page include new grad, recent graduate, and junior registered dental hygienist roles. A posting is typically new-grad friendly when it welcomes zero to two years of experience, counts accredited dental hygiene program clinic hours toward the requirement, or explicitly accepts candidates who can demonstrate competency through internships or supervised patient care rather than full-time work history.
Which industries hire the most entry level registered dental hygienists?
Entry Level registered dental hygienist roles concentrate in Healthcare & Medical Services, Non-Profit & Social Services, and Medical Devices, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors drive hiring at the entry level because they operate high patient volumes, run structured training environments, and frequently have openings created by expansion or associate-level turnover that new graduates are well positioned to fill.
