About the Role
We are hiring an Associate Attorney for a well-established mid-sized law firm with a sophisticated insurance coverage and litigation practice.
We are open to attorneys ranging from newly licensed associates to attorneys with approximately five years of litigation experience. Insurance coverage experience is ideal, but it is absolutely not required.
If you have a background in insurance defense or general civil litigation and know how to handle discovery, conduct legal research, and draft strong legal work product, the firm is willing to train you in insurance coverage.
This is a remote opportunity for attorneys actively licensed to practice in California.
The firm has approximately 120 attorneys, providing the resources and sophistication of a larger firm while still giving associates direct access to partners, meaningful responsibility, and opportunities to develop their careers and practices.
Must-Have Experience
We're open to attorneys ranging from newly licensed associates to approximately five years of litigation experience.
You must have:
Active California Bar license
Civil litigation experience or a strong interest in developing a litigation practice
Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills

Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and other litigation proceedings
Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and other parties
Assist with case strategy and matter management
Work directly with experienced partners and senior attorneys
Develop substantive insurance coverage experience
Take on increasing responsibility as your experience grows
Build the skills necessary to independently manage complex matters
