We exist for workers and their employers - who are the backbone of our economy. That is where Centivo comes in - our mission is to bring affordable, high-quality healthcare to the millions who struggle to pay their healthcare bills.
Summary of Role
The Client Success Manager (CSM) provides the day-to-day operational support that keeps Centivo's client experience running smoothly. This is an intermediate, client-facing role: the CSM attends and supports client meetings and open enrollment sessions, supporting the Client Success Executive (CSE) who leads the relationship. The CSM partners closely with the CSE to execute the operational work behind renewals, escalations, and ongoing plan administration — resolving claims, benefit, and enrollment issues; coordinating across internal teams and external vendors; and keeping client-facing systems, workbooks, and communications accurate and current. On a smaller book of business, and at leadership discretion, a CSM may hold light day-to-day ownership of a client relationship.

Review HCC notices for accuracy & to ensure they are at the appropriate threshold prior to Client Ops sending them out

Set up and maintain access for reporting tools & employer portals.
Updating Salesforce when client or broker contact information changes.
Open Enrollment (OE) & Renewal Support
Attend and support open enrollment meetings (virtual and in-person) as needed; the Client Success Executive leads OE strategy, content, and client messaging.

Prepare the renewal confirmation form in conjunction with the Client Success Executive.

Tips for Your Remote Client Success Manager Job Search
Prove you can work async with clients
Remote client success managers communicate through Slack, email, and recorded video far more than phone calls. Document examples of async client updates, written QBR decks, or Loom walkthroughs you've delivered so hiring managers can see you already operate this way.
Filter openings by remote-first companies
Companies built as remote-first from the start hire client success managers to work distributed permanently, not as a temporary arrangement. Prioritize those over legacy companies offering hybrid roles relabeled as remote, which often revert to in-office expectations.
Apply early to remote roles that fit
Migrate Mate lists remote client success manager openings from across the U.S. in one place, so you can find roles that match your background and apply directly without sorting through mixed listings.
Prepare for remote-specific interview questions
Remote hiring managers routinely ask how you manage client escalations without walking over to a colleague and how you keep accounts engaged when you never meet in person. Prepare specific examples that show your async problem-solving and proactive client communication, not just general relationship-building.
Remote Client Success Manager Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a remote client success manager job?
Target remote-first SaaS companies and distributed technology teams, which hire client success managers remotely far more consistently than traditional enterprises. Remote employers screen for written communication skills, the ability to manage client relationships asynchronously, and self-direction without daily manager oversight. A portfolio of client outcomes, such as retention wins or expansion revenue you owned, gives you a concrete edge over candidates who list responsibilities alone.
Which companies hire remote client success managers?
Employers currently hiring remote client success managers include Centivo, LocaliQ, and Qventus, per current remote listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Remote-first SaaS companies and distributed teams across technology, healthcare technology, and financial services make up the largest share of these openings.
Can you get a remote client success manager job with no experience?
Yes, but remote entry-level client success roles are harder to land because employers expect you to onboard clients and troubleshoot independently from day one. Smaller SaaS startups and customer-experience-focused tech companies are the most likely to hire remotely at the entry level. Showing async communication skills, a CRM you've used, or a project where you solved a customer problem directly substitutes for formal experience.
Do you need a degree for remote client success manager jobs?
Not always. Many remote employers weigh demonstrated client management skills, measurable retention or upsell results, and comfort with tools like Salesforce or Gainsight over a specific degree. A degree can help you clear an applicant tracking system filter at larger companies, but smaller remote-first firms routinely hire candidates who show real outcomes over credentials.
Which industries hire the most remote client success managers?
The sectors hiring the most remote client success managers are Technology & Software, Consulting & Professional Services, and Fintech, based on current remote listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. These industries rely on distributed teams that manage client relationships entirely through video, email, and shared platforms rather than in-person contact.
