Job Description:
Overview of Unit/Department
OP Therapy Teleservices provides high-quality speech teletherapy services to both rural school districts and healthcare patients. CoxHealth partners with contracted rural schools to deliver school-based speech therapy, while also offering direct teletherapy care to CoxHealth outpatients.
School-based positions are PRN, offering guaranteed hours throughout the school year and following the academic calendar, making them ideal for providers seeking a flexible yet stable schedule. In the outpatient setting, teletherapy services operate on a consistent weekly schedule with dedicated, pre-scheduled patients to ensure continuity of care.
All providers work remotely, allowing clinicians the convenience and flexibility of delivering care from home while maintaining meaningful connections with their students and patients.
Job Summary
Speech-language pathologists assess, diagnose, treat, and help to prevent speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication and swallowing disorders in children and adults. They will develop or implement treatment plans for problems that include, but are not limited to, stuttering, delayed language, swallowing disorders, inappropriate pitch or harsh voice problems, and social communication disorders.
Job Requirements
Education:
Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology/Communicative Disorders and Sciences
Experience:
Prior one year hospital/health care related experience preferred
Skills:
- Good clinical expertise, human relations skills and organizational skills required.
- Self-motivated individual who can work independently with little direct supervision required.
- Has demonstrated interest in professional growth by attendance at continuing education workshops, and applications of new principles and/or techniques.
- Must have good communication skills and a positive attitude.
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
License of Speech Therapy active in the state of Missouri, CCC or CFY candidate required.
