Are you ready to shape the automation and Agentic AI strategy for strategic enterprise accounts, setting the technical direction that elevates an entire practice?
At Naviant, our mission is to partner with organizations to reimagine how work gets done, combining deep industry expertise, intelligent technology, and a human-centered approach to deliver measurable outcomes. Our vision is simple yet ambitious: Reimagine work through automation, AI, and data, freeing people to focus on what truly matters.
We're looking for a Principal UiPath Solution Architect who operates as both a hands-on technical authority and a strategic advisor. In this role, you'll set the architectural vision for how UiPath's RPA platform converges with emerging Agentic AI technologies across our portfolio of strategic accounts, translating enterprise-level ambiguity into repeatable, scalable frameworks. You'll be the escalation point for the most complex architecture challenges, a mentor to other architects and senior developers, and a trusted voice with customer executives and Naviant leadership alike, shaping not just individual solutions but the direction of the Intelligent Automation practice itself.
Performance Objectives – What You Will Accomplish
First 30 Days: Getting Grounded
Serve in a senior-level capacity across one or more strategic automation engagements, leveraging UiPath Studio and Orchestrator, and bringing substantial experience across relevant enterprise capabilities such as Maestro, Agent Builder, IXP (including Document Understanding), AI Center, and other agentic features
Assess and validate enterprise architecture decisions across infrastructure, network, and security for UiPath environments, flagging risk and scalability gaps early.
Define enterprise-grade solution architecture spanning UiPath products, APIs, and integrations with ERPs, CRMs, and EHRs, ensuring alignment with both customer and Naviant technical standards
Evaluate architecture diagrams, solution design documents, and data flow standards across multiple engagements, and develop a plan to address methodology gaps
Engage directly in the most technically demanding areas of solution design, using UiPath Studio, AI Center, and Agentic AI tooling
Provide architectural oversight and resolve technical roadblocks for development teams across concurrent, large-scale solutions
At 90 Days and Beyond: Driving Impact: Taking Ownership
Serve as the principal driver of continuous improvement and technical maturity across the Intelligent Automation practice
Mentor and develop architects and senior developers, elevating the technical capability of the broader team
Lead the most strategic customer engagements end-to-end, serving as the senior technical voice in pre-sales, executive briefings, and renewals
Represent Naviant's point of view externally through thought leadership, industry events, and engagement with the broader UiPath ecosystem
Competencies – Key Skills & Experience We're Looking For
Enterprise Automation Architecture & Agentic AI
Sets the architectural vision for scalable, enterprise-grade automation solutions across UiPath and the broader AI ecosystem. Establishes standards for determining when to use AI agents, deterministic automation, APIs, business rules, or human decision-making, and for designing governed agentic workflows that integrate agents, robots, systems, and people.
Technical Depth & Infrastructure Authority
Brings deep, hands-on expertise in VB.NET, C#, and Python, paired with the judgment to evaluate infrastructure, network, and security decisions at an enterprise scale. Serves as the escalation point for the most complex technical and architectural challenges.
Practice Leadership & Mentorship
Elevates the capability of the broader team by mentoring architects and senior developers, setting technical standards, and modeling accountability and excellence. Drives cross-functional alignment on the most strategic, highest-stakes engagements.
Executive Communication & Trusted Advisory
Translates complex technical strategy into actionable terms for executives and stakeholders. Builds durable trust with customer leadership and functions as a senior, credible voice in pre-sales, renewals, and strategic planning.

Tips for Your Remote Principal Solutions Engineer Job Search
Prove async fluency before the first call
Remote principal solutions engineers spend more time in written channels than on calls. Build a portfolio of written solution designs, architecture explainers, or technical discovery documents you can share. Hiring managers for remote roles evaluate written communication before they invite you to interview.
Prioritize remote-first companies over remote-tolerant ones
Remote-first firms build their entire workflow around distributed teams, so a principal solutions engineer can own the full technical sales cycle without being at a disadvantage. Remote-tolerant companies often favor on-site candidates for senior roles. Filtering for companies that default to remote protects your long-term fit.
Apply early to remote roles that fit
Migrate Mate lists remote principal solutions engineer openings from across the U.S. in one place. Searching by role and applying directly to the ones that match your stack and experience level means you reach open roles while they're active, not after pipelines close.
Sharpen your remote technical presentation skills
Remote interviews for principal solutions engineer roles almost always include a live technical whiteboard or architecture walk-through over video. Practice narrating your solution design out loud while sharing your screen, because clarity of verbal explanation carries more weight when there's no physical room to read.
Remote Principal Solutions Engineer Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a remote principal solutions engineer job?
Target remote-first software companies and distributed enterprise technology teams, where principal solutions engineers operate without a local office presence. Remote employers screen hard for async written communication, self-directed problem solving, and the ability to run technical discovery calls and architecture reviews over video. Deep fluency in the relevant product stack, strong written documentation habits, and a portfolio of complex customer wins give candidates a clear edge.
Which companies hire remote principal solutions engineers?
Remote principal solutions engineer roles are posted by Humana, freshworks, and CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield and others right now, based on current remote listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. The companies doing most of the hiring are remote-first SaaS firms, cloud platform providers, and distributed enterprise software teams that sell and support technically complex products.
Can you get a remote principal solutions engineer job with no experience?
Yes, but remote entry paths are narrower because you have to operate independently from day one without in-office mentorship. Companies hiring junior remote solutions engineers tend to be early-stage SaaS startups with lean teams. A strong technical portfolio, documented hands-on lab work, and demonstrated ability to explain complex solutions in writing can substitute for direct professional experience and open the door.
Do you need a degree for remote principal solutions engineer jobs?
Not always. Remote employers weigh demonstrated technical depth, certifications in relevant platforms, and a record of solving real customer problems more heavily than a specific credential. A candidate who can articulate architecture decisions clearly in writing and show results from prior solutions work will compete well, degree or not, because remote teams evaluate output over credentials.
Which industries hire the most remote principal solutions engineers?
Most remote principal solutions engineer openings sit in Technology & Software, Consulting & Professional Services, and Healthcare & Medical Services, per current remote listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Those sectors rely on distributed go-to-market and customer success teams that need principal solutions engineers who can support complex enterprise deals entirely from remote.
