American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a night-shift community hospital role requiring Epic EMR experience and at least one year of RT experience.
Details
- Community hospital setting within the Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics unit
- Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- 13-week assignment length
- Cares for adult critical care, emergency department, and NICU patient populations
- Performs ventilator management, intubation assist, chest physiotherapy, and arterial blood gas draws/interpretation
- Manages airway devices including ET tubes, tracheostomies, and nasal/oral suctioning
- Treats patients with conditions such as ARDS, aspiration, COVID-19, cystic fibrosis, pneumonia, and fresh tracheostomy
- Performs neonatal/pediatric procedures including CPAP/BiPAP support and high-risk delivery assistance
- Uses Epic EMR for charting, required with no exceptions
- May float within scope of practice as needed
- Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate with no radius restrictions
Requirements
- Active RRT certification required
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- CRT certification required
- NRP and PALS certifications preferred
- Minimum 1 year of experience in the applicable position required
- BSN preferred; diploma, associate, or BSN graduates from an accredited program (ACEN or CCNE) accepted
- Epic charting experience required
- Community hospital experience preferred
- Prior travel assignment experience required
- Active VA or compact state RT license required if applicable
- 2 professional references required (supervisor level or above)
