Position Summary
The Artificial Intelligence Revenue Analyst will lead the design, development, and deployment of an AI-powered revenue opportunity detection system for Avis Budget Group. This role sits at the intersection of revenue management, data science, and product development — translating pricing and availability logic into automated, rules-based alerting that identifies lost revenue opportunities across markets, vehicle classes, and booking channels. The analyst will own the end-to-end lifecycle of the tool: from defining business rules, to building and testing the interface, to driving adoption with the broader revenue management team. This position is based at our New Jersey office and follows a [hybrid/on-site] work model. The interview process will include an in-person interview at our New Jersey office.
REVENUE STRATEGY & AI ENABLEMENT
- Translate revenue management expertise into structured rules and logic that identify pricing, availability, demand, and supply opportunities.
- Partner with Data Science and Technology teams to develop AI-enabled alerting, anomaly detection, and prioritization capabilities.
PRODUCT & DATA INTEGRATION
- Lead the design, testing, and enhancement of revenue management tools and workflows that enable teams to identify and act on opportunities.
- Partner with IT, Data Engineering, and cross-functional teams to ensure data quality, integration, and reliable insights across pricing, availability, reservations, competitive intelligence, and financial performance.
REVENUE OPTIMIZATION & PERFORMANCE
- Identify and prioritize revenue opportunities based on business and financial impact.
- Measure results and continuously refine detection logic, rules, and workflows based on performance, user feedback, and evolving business needs.
STAKEHOLDER LEADERSHIP & ADOPTION
- Serve as the bridge between Revenue Management and technical teams, ensuring business needs are translated into effective technology solutions.
- Drive adoption through training, documentation, change management, and ongoing user engagement.
- Partner with leadership to shape the product roadmap and advance a more proactive, data-driven approach to revenue management.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in revenue management, pricing, finance, or financial/process engineering (travel, transportation, hospitality, or similar dynamic-pricing industry preferred)
- Demonstrated experience optimizing for measurable, incremental revenue outcomes across cross-functional teams or data sets
- Experience working with or supporting the build of analytical tools, dashboards, or business rule engines (formal software development experience not required, but comfort partnering closely with technical teams is essential)
- Experience successfully driving adoption of analytical solutions (ideally AI-driven) in a complex matrix organization
Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of revenue management fundamentals: pricing strategy, availability/inventory management, demand forecasting, and yield optimization
- Analytical mindset with the ability to translate business logic into structured rules and testable requirements
- Proficiency with data analysis tools (SQL, Excel, and/or BI platforms such as Tableau or Power BI); exposure to Python or similar scripting languages a plus
- Familiarity with AI/ML concepts (anomaly detection, alerting logic, rules-based automation) — prior hands-on ML experience not required, but curiosity and fluency in the space is important
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to bridge technical and business audiences
- Strong project management instincts: comfortable owning a roadmap, coordinating stakeholders, and driving a product from concept to adoption
- User-centered mindset — genuinely curious about how end users work and motivated to build tools people actually want to use
- Customer-centric orientation – build solutions that deliver rate products our customers want to purchase using processes that our people will embrace and adapt easily
What Success Looks Like in This Role
- A functioning, adopted exception-alerting system that revenue managers rely on daily
- A documented, evolving revenue rules library that reflects current business priorities
- Measurable incremental revenue captured through resolved pricing/availability exceptions
- High user satisfaction and adoption rates across the revenue management team

Mid Level Revenue Analyst Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a mid level revenue analyst job?
Position yourself around ownership, not just execution. Highlight projects where you built or improved a revenue model, identified a meaningful trend, or influenced a pricing or forecasting decision. Recruiters at this level want to see that you've moved beyond pulling reports into actually shaping how the business reads its numbers. Tailor your resume to show outcomes, not just responsibilities, and emphasize tools like SQL, Excel, or BI platforms you've used to drive those results.
Which companies hire mid level revenue analysts?
Companies hiring mid level revenue analysts right now include Navan, Cohere, and Cadence, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. At this level, hiring tends to come from mid-size growth companies and large enterprises with dedicated revenue operations, finance, or commercial strategy functions that need analysts who can work independently.
Are there remote mid level revenue analyst jobs?
Yes, and a significant share of openings are flexible. About 58% of mid level revenue analyst openings are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting how finance and analytics work has shifted since many companies expanded distributed teams. Roles tied to real-time collaboration with sales or revenue operations teams tend toward hybrid, while those focused on modeling and reporting often stay fully remote.
How do I move up to a mid level revenue analyst role?
The path from entry level to mid level is built on deepening ownership over time. Early on, focus on mastering core tools like SQL, Excel, and whatever BI platform your team uses, then push to own a full reporting cycle or forecast process rather than just contributing to one. Mid level recognition typically comes when you can identify a revenue problem independently, propose an approach, and see it through, building a record of measurable impact that managers can point to.
Which industries hire the most mid level revenue analysts?
Mid Level revenue analyst roles concentrate in Healthcare & Medical Services, Technology & Software, and Electronics & Hardware, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. These sectors tend to generate the most demand at this experience level because they operate at scale, run complex pricing or subscription models, and need analysts who can translate revenue data into strategic recommendations without heavy supervision.
