Mid Level Risk And Compliance Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a mid level risk and compliance job?
Position your experience around ownership, not just task completion. Highlight compliance programs you led, risk assessments you drove independently, or audits where you shaped the outcome. Tailor your resume to show the regulatory frameworks you know well, such as SOX, BSA, or COSO. Recruiters at this level want to see that you can operate with limited supervision and deliver results, so make that the headline of every application.
Which companies hire mid level risk and compliances?
Companies hiring mid level risk and compliances right now include JPMorganChase, Talented Medical Solutions, and Figma, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. At this level, hiring comes from a broad mix of financial institutions, healthcare systems, and large enterprises that maintain active compliance functions and need professionals who can take on program ownership without heavy day-to-day direction.
Are there remote mid level risk and compliance jobs?
Yes, though availability varies by employer and function. About 24% of mid level risk and compliance openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how much compliance documentation, policy review, and risk monitoring work translates well to distributed settings. Roles tied to on-site audits or regulated physical operations tend to require more in-person presence, so filter listings by location type when you search.
How do I move up to a mid level risk and compliance role?
The path from entry level to mid level in risk and compliance is built on demonstrated ownership over time. Focus on deepening your knowledge of one or two regulatory frameworks, volunteering to lead sections of audits or risk assessments, and documenting measurable outcomes like gaps closed or controls implemented. Earning a relevant credential, such as a CRCM, CAMS, or CIA, signals readiness for greater responsibility and accelerates how quickly hiring managers see you as a mid level candidate.
Which industries hire the most mid level risk and compliances?
Mid Level risk and compliance roles concentrate in Technology & Software, Banking & Financial Services, and Investment & Asset Management, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors carry substantial regulatory obligations and internal control requirements, which creates sustained demand for professionals who can manage compliance programs and risk frameworks independently rather than purely in a support capacity.
