Target Chicago's densest hiring sectors: enterprise software along the Fulton Market tech corridor, financial products in the Loop, and medical devices and healthcare services throughout the North Shore suburbs. Candidates who demonstrate familiarity with Chicago's B2B landscape, carry an established local network, or bring experience selling into midsize Midwest companies stand out. Attending industry events at venues like the Merchandise Mart also builds the connections that lead to referrals.

Chicago's market includes a broad mix of global Fortune 500 headquarters, regional insurance carriers, fast-growing SaaS startups, and established medical device distributors, giving candidates options at every career stage.
Are there remote sales consultant jobs in Chicago?
Yes, though availability depends heavily on the role: inside sales and software-focused consulting positions tend to support remote work, while roles tied to in-person client meetings or on-site demonstrations typically require a local presence. About 50% of sales consultant openings tied to Chicago are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, with SaaS and fintech employers generally offering the most flexibility.
How can I get a sales consultant job in Chicago with little or no experience?
