Overview
Company Overview
Intuit is the global financial technology platform that powers prosperity for the people and communities we serve. With approximately 100 million customers worldwide using products such as TurboTax, Credit Karma, QuickBooks, and Mailchimp, we believe everyone should have the opportunity to prosper. We never stop innovating to make that possible.
Team Overview
The TurboTax team is evolving how we understand, build, and scale new sources of growth. We are developing deeper visibility into emerging customer needs, acquisition opportunities, engagement models, and cross product experiences.
As part of this transformation, we are looking for a Staff Data Scientist to help shape the strategy and measurement of TurboTax’s next generation of growth capabilities.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in zero-to-one environments at the intersection of data, experimentation, storytelling, and business leadership. You will help teams evaluate nascent opportunities, identify the strongest signals of customer and business value, and translate early learnings into clear strategic direction.
Role Overview
As a Staff Data Scientist in Emerging Growth Strategy & Intelligence, you will lead the development of analytical frameworks and insights for new acquisition, engagement, and customer-growth initiatives.
You will partner with leaders across Product, Marketing, Expert Services, and Operations to assess emerging opportunities, shape experimentation strategies, and determine which new capabilities should be refined, scaled, or deprioritized.
The portfolio may include new customer acquisition models, year-round engagement experiences, appointment and consultation offerings, retention initiatives, and cross-product opportunities. Because many of these capabilities are newly established, you will help define how success is measured rather than applying existing performance frameworks.
You will combine rigorous analysis with strong business judgment to bring clarity to ambiguous questions, create compelling performance narratives, and help leadership make confident investment decisions.

Scientist Jobs in Mountain View: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a scientist job in Mountain View?
Focus your search on Mountain View's dominant hiring sectors: semiconductor R&D, life sciences, and clean energy technology. The North Bayshore corridor and Middlefield Road area concentrate the most research roles. Candidates with hands-on lab experience, familiarity with high-throughput instrumentation, or a background in computational methods tend to stand out. Networking at local research events and targeting mid-size biotech and materials science firms often yields faster results than applying to larger tech campuses.
Which companies hire scientists in Mountain View?
Companies currently hiring scientists in Mountain View include Google, Intuit, and DeepMind, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Mountain View attracts a mix of established technology corporations, early-stage biotech startups, and energy research organizations, many of which maintain dedicated R&D divisions actively recruiting across disciplines.
Are there remote scientist jobs in Mountain View?
Yes, though remote availability varies significantly by specialty. Hands-on bench research, instrumentation work, and lab-based roles are largely on-site, while data science, computational biology, and regulatory science positions offer more flexibility. About 78% of scientist openings tied to Mountain View are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, skewing toward analytical and desk-based specialties rather than experimental or manufacturing roles.
How can I get a scientist job in Mountain View with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Mountain View is a research associate or lab technician role at one of the city's many biotech startups or semiconductor materials firms, where smaller teams often train candidates on proprietary workflows. Internships through nearby university partnerships and contract research positions at local CROs provide direct exposure to Mountain View employers. Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, or common lab automation platforms strengthens applications for entry-level analytical and instrumentation roles specifically.
Which industries hire the most scientists in Mountain View?
The sectors hiring the most scientists in Mountain View are Technology & Software, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Mountain View's proximity to Stanford, UCSF research affiliates, and a dense cluster of venture-backed technology companies sustains consistent demand across these fields, particularly for roles bridging laboratory science and product development.
