Security And Compliance Jobs in Arkansas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a security and compliance professional in Arkansas?
Most security and compliance roles in Arkansas require a bachelor's degree in a field like business administration, information technology, finance, or accounting, followed by relevant certification. Credentials such as Certified Information Systems Auditor, Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control, or Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional are widely recognized by Arkansas employers. Arkansas does not operate a single state licensing board for this field, so hiring decisions center on education, industry-specific certifications, and demonstrated experience with applicable regulatory frameworks.
How much do security and compliances make in Arkansas?
Security and compliances in Arkansas earn a median of about $103,490 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $59,410 for the lowest 10% to over $140,900 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire security and compliances in Arkansas?
Arkansas security and compliance roles are posted by Walmart, Southwest Power Pool, and University of Arkansas and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Arkansas's concentration of large retail, healthcare, and financial services employers means compliance teams here frequently manage multi-state or enterprise-wide regulatory programs.
Which Arkansas cities have the most security and compliance jobs?
Bentonville, Little Rock, and Arkansas lead Arkansas in security and compliance openings. Little Rock's role as the state capital and home to major healthcare systems, banks, and government agencies drives consistent demand, while the Bentonville and Fayetteville corridor benefits from Walmart's global headquarters and its dense network of supplier and logistics companies that maintain their own compliance functions nearby.
Are there remote security and compliance jobs in Arkansas?
Yes, and more than many fields. Security and compliance work is largely desk-based and documentation-driven, making it well suited to remote arrangements. About 67% of security and compliance openings tied to Arkansas are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how broadly employers across the state have adopted flexible work for analytical and policy roles. Positions focused on information security policy, audit coordination, and regulatory reporting tend to offer the most remote flexibility.
How can I get hired as a security and compliance professional in Arkansas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is starting in an adjacent role such as internal audit assistant, data analyst, or compliance coordinator at a large Arkansas employer, then building toward a dedicated compliance or security function. Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Dillard's, and major Little Rock-area healthcare systems like Baptist Health routinely hire junior analysts and compliance support staff. Completing an entry-level certification like CompTIA Security+ or earning a CISA-eligible associate credential while in an analyst role makes a candidate significantly more competitive for a first security and compliance position.
Where can I find and apply to security and compliance jobs in Arkansas?
You can find and apply to security and compliance jobs in Arkansas on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings across the state. Search the listings to find roles that match your experience and background, then apply directly to the ones that fit.
