Compliance Consultant Jobs in Arkansas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a compliance consultant in Arkansas?
Most compliance consultants in Arkansas enter the field with a bachelor's degree in business, finance, law, or a related discipline, then build experience in audit, risk, or regulatory roles. Arkansas does not require a state-issued license specific to compliance consulting, but employers across healthcare, banking, and retail strongly prefer candidates who hold or are pursuing a Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP) credential through the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics.
How much do compliance consultants make in Arkansas?
Compliance consultants in Arkansas earn a median of about $64,680 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $43,160 for the lowest 10% to over $132,760 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire compliance consultants in Arkansas?
Companies currently hiring compliance consultants in Arkansas include Walmart, Southwest Power Pool, and University of Arkansas, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Arkansas's mix of large retail headquarters, regional health systems, and state-chartered financial institutions creates consistent demand for compliance professionals across multiple industries.
Which Arkansas cities have the most compliance consultant jobs?
Little Rock, Bentonville, and Arkansas account for the largest share of compliance consultant openings in Arkansas. Little Rock drives demand as the state capital and home to major health systems and regulated financial institutions, while Bentonville and Fayetteville generate openings through Walmart's global headquarters and the dense network of suppliers and logistics firms anchored to the Northwest Arkansas corridor.
Are there remote compliance consultant jobs in Arkansas?
Yes, and more than most fields. Compliance consulting is largely desk-based and document-driven, which makes it well suited to remote and hybrid arrangements. About 64% of compliance consultant openings tied to Arkansas are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how broadly employers in this field accept distributed work. Policy review, regulatory research, and internal audit advisory work are the functions most commonly offered remotely.
How can I get hired as a compliance consultant in Arkansas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving into a junior compliance analyst or compliance coordinator role from an adjacent position such as paralegal, internal auditor, or regulatory affairs assistant. Large Arkansas employers including Baptist Health, Arvest Bank, and Dillard's occasionally hire candidates without direct compliance titles if they hold relevant coursework or an entry-level CCEP certification. Targeting compliance operations teams in healthcare systems and financial institutions in Little Rock gives new candidates the broadest starting options.
