We are seeking a detail-oriented Information Security Analyst to strengthen our cybersecurity team. This role is ideal for professionals who are passionate about protecting enterprise systems, mitigating cyber threats, and ensuring compliance with industry security standards.
As an Information Security Analyst, you will play a critical role in safeguarding sensitive data, monitoring security events, assessing risks, and implementing security controls that support business continuity. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance our security posture while contributing to strategic cybersecurity initiatives that protect our organization from evolving threats.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts, incidents, and potential cyber threats.
- Conduct security risk assessments, vulnerability assessments, and security audits.
- Investigate security incidents and perform root cause analysis to prevent future occurrences.
- Implement, configure, and maintain security technologies including firewalls, endpoint protection, SIEM, IDS/IPS, and identity access management solutions.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Collaborate with IT, engineering, and business teams to integrate security throughout the technology lifecycle.
- Perform vulnerability management, patch management, and remediation tracking.
- Ensure compliance with security frameworks, regulatory requirements, and organizational standards.
- Prepare security reports, dashboards, and documentation for management and audit purposes.
- Stay current with emerging cybersecurity threats, technologies, and industry best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Experience in information security, cybersecurity, security operations, or IT security.
- Strong understanding of network security, cloud security, endpoint security, and identity and access management (IAM).
- Experience with SIEM platforms, vulnerability management tools, and security monitoring solutions.
- Knowledge of operating systems including Windows and Linux.
- Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, or SOC 2.
- Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, firewalls, encryption, authentication, and access control.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and incident response skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional certifications such as Security+, CySA+, CISSP, CEH, GSEC, or CISM are highly desirable.
