Mechanical Designer, Customer Service
- You will handle all aspects of design engineering work, including warranty design issues
- You will review product design for compliance and engineering principles, company standards, and customer’s requirements
- You will model purchase parts and custom parts using Pro/E
- You will present system and the assemblies that make up the system to the customer
- You will evaluate and approve design changes, specifications, and drawing releases
- You will create concepts, technical descriptions, and cost estimates, for retrofits and part changes
- You will review technical requirement details to develop proposals that meet customer specifications
- You will compile budgetary estimates for aftermarket projects in early planning phases, to facilitate customer budgeting processes
- You will utilize ERP software to ensure accurate sales project & timeline forecasts are given when preparing proposals
- You will attend sales, project review, design review, and factory acceptance testing meetings in support of retrofit and aftermarket projects
- You will review and comment customer’s specifications
- You will select third party equipment and component suppliers
- You will work with third party suppliers to spec equipment
- You have a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering required
- You have experience in manufacturing environment with machining and mechanical assembly preferred
- You must have a valid driver’s license and a record clear of poor violation convictions such as reckless driving or Driving Under the Influence (DUI/DWI) within the past three years or two or more at fault accidents within the past three years
- You have a minimum of two years packaging design engineering experience required or equivalent
