JOB SUMMARY
The Pricing & BI Analyst will support the Firm’s strategic pricing, matterbudgeting, and client value initiatives. This role combines financial and pricing analysis with business intelligence and Microsoft Power Platform expertise to deliver innovative pricing solutions, actionable insights, and automation that improve profitability and client value.
The Pricing & BI Analyst brings a strong foundation in SQL, Python, ERP systems, and data modeling while leveraging Power BI dashboards, Power Apps, and Power Automate to transform data into interactive tools and streamlined workflows. In addition to pricing-focused work, the Analyst will contribute to automation and Power Apps projects that support broader department-wide innovation efforts.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Pricing and Financial Modeling
- Partner with the Director of Client Value and Commercial Strategy to design and refine pricing models—including AFAs, fixed fees, and value-based pricing—using both quantitative and qualitative data.
- Develop and analyze pricing scenarios, sensitivity analyses, and margin optimization models to support firm-wide pricing strategies.
- Maintain and manage price lists and structures across service portfolios to ensure competitive positioning and client value.
BI Dashboarding and Microsoft Power Platform Development
- Build and maintain Power BI dashboards to visualize pricing, client profitability, and market performance, enabling leadership to make data-driven decisions.
- Develop and maintain Power Apps solutions that streamline pricing requests, automate approval workflows, and improve access to financial and performance insights.
- Implement Power Automate workflows that reduce manual reporting, accelerate turnaround times, and improve accuracy of pricing and profitability data.
Department-Wide Automation and Innovation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Innovation, Finance, Business Development, Practice Groups) to design and deliver automation projects that improve operational efficiency beyond pricing.
- Support department-wide Power Apps and workflow automation initiatives, ensuring solutions are scalable and aligned with broader business objectives.
- Champion innovation by identifying opportunities for digitization, automation, and advanced BI applications in both pricing and larger departmental processes.
Advanced Analytics and Reporting
- Extract and analyze large datasets using SQL to support strategic decision-making.
- Conduct profitability, variance, and trend analyses, providing actionable recommendations to leadership and practice groups.
- Deliver recurring and ad-hoc reports on pricing and client value metrics with clarity and accuracy.
- Leverage financial modeling and data analysis skills to support client matters and direct attorney assistance
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Computer Science, or related field required; advanced degree preferred.
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in pricing, FP&A, or data analytics; prior professional services or legal industry experience a plus.
- Technical skills:
- Ability to translate complex data and financial models into clear, actionable insights.
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills with the ability to manage shifting priorities.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams and present findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Certifications such as Certified Pricing Professional (CPP), BI Analyst (IBM), or Microsoft Power Platform certifications are a plus.

Pay Range and Compensation Package
Honigman provides a generous total compensation package, which includes comprehensive health and well-being benefits, as well as 401k and profit sharing. The anticipated annual pay range for this role is $80,000 to $90,000 (exempt). The actual offered pay rate will be determined based on various factors, including qualifications, experience, geographic location, education, external market data, and internal equity considerations.
