Entry Level Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level senior cloud infrastructure engineer job?
Employers hiring at the entry level look for hands-on familiarity with at least one major cloud platform, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, along with comfort in Linux environments and basic networking concepts. A home-lab project, a cloud certification like AWS Cloud Practitioner or Google Associate Cloud Engineer, or a college internship where you provisioned real infrastructure can each give you a concrete edge over candidates who only have coursework to show.
Which companies hire entry level senior cloud infrastructure engineers?
Companies hiring entry level senior cloud infrastructure engineers right now include Google, Deloitte, and ByteDance, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Hiring at this level comes from a broad mix of employers, including technology firms scaling their cloud footprint, managed service providers that train engineers on multiple client environments, and enterprises modernizing legacy infrastructure.
Are there remote entry level senior cloud infrastructure engineer jobs?
Yes, though availability varies by employer and role type. About 7% of entry level senior cloud infrastructure engineer openings are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, making it a realistic option for new graduates who want flexibility. On-site roles still dominate in some industries, particularly those with compliance-heavy environments, so filtering by work setting on Migrate Mate helps you focus your search quickly.
Are these new grad senior cloud infrastructure engineer jobs?
Yes, these listings include new grad, recent graduate, and junior roles alongside other entry level postings. A new-grad-friendly senior cloud infrastructure engineer posting typically welcomes candidates with zero to two years of experience, treats an internship or capstone project as equivalent to professional work history, and does not require deep production-environment tenure. Look for language like "entry level," "new grad," or "junior" in the job description as a reliable signal.
Which industries hire the most entry level senior cloud infrastructure engineers?
Entry Level senior cloud infrastructure engineer roles concentrate in Technology & Software, Artificial Intelligence, and Investment & Asset Management, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Those sectors drive hiring at this level because rapid cloud adoption, infrastructure-as-code practices, and growing security requirements create a steady demand for engineers who can learn on the job while contributing to real deployments from day one.
