Mid Level Senior Product Counsel Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a mid level senior product counsel job?
Position your experience around ownership, not just support. Highlight deals or product cycles you led independently, frameworks you built, and cross-functional decisions you drove. Tailor your resume to show depth in a specific practice area, such as commercial licensing, privacy, or platform compliance, rather than broad exposure. Concrete outcomes matter more than titles at this stage.
Which companies hire mid level senior product counsels?
Companies hiring mid level senior product counsels right now include Epic, Amazon, and Apple, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. At this level, hiring tends to come from technology companies, scaled startups, and large enterprises building out in-house legal teams that need counsel who can operate independently on product and commercial work.
Are there remote mid level senior product counsel jobs?
Yes, remote and hybrid options are common at this level. About 25% of mid level senior product counsel openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how product legal work translates well to distributed collaboration. On-site roles tend to concentrate at companies where legal is embedded closely with engineering or business teams.
How do I move up to a mid level senior product counsel role?
The path runs through expanding your ownership over time. Early-career attorneys build mid level candidacy by taking on progressively complex deals, leading projects from intake to close, and developing specialized knowledge in areas like SaaS agreements, data licensing, or platform terms. Demonstrable impact, such as reducing cycle times or owning a product launch legally, signals readiness for mid level responsibilities.
Which industries hire the most mid level senior product counsels?
