Senior Quality Manager Jobs in Louisiana: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a senior quality manager in Louisiana?
Most senior quality manager roles in Louisiana require a bachelor's degree in engineering, industrial technology, or a closely related field, combined with several years of progressive quality experience in manufacturing, petrochemical, or healthcare settings. Louisiana does not issue a state license specific to quality management, but employers across the industrial corridor strongly favor candidates holding ASQ certifications such as the Certified Quality Manager or Certified Quality Engineer. Advancing into senior roles typically means leading audits, managing ISO or API compliance programs, and supervising quality teams at major Louisiana facilities.
How much do senior quality managers make in Louisiana?
Senior quality managers in Louisiana earn a median of about $133,210 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $79,350 for the lowest 10% to over $213,350 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire senior quality managers in Louisiana?
Employers hiring senior quality managers in Louisiana right now include Worley, TeamLINX, and CK Associates, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of October 2026. Louisiana's concentration of petrochemical plants, shipyards, and regional hospital networks means quality leadership roles turn over regularly at large, established operations throughout the state.
Which Louisiana cities have the most senior quality manager jobs?
Louisiana, Monroe, and Riverbend have the most senior quality manager openings in Louisiana. Baton Rouge anchors hiring through its dense cluster of refineries and chemical plants along the Mississippi River corridor, New Orleans draws demand from shipbuilding, healthcare systems, and port logistics operations, and Lake Charles has expanded significantly with large-scale industrial and LNG facility buildouts that require sustained quality leadership.
Are there remote senior quality manager jobs in Louisiana?
Yes, but they're rare. Senior quality manager work is largely hands-on, requiring floor presence, supplier audits, and direct oversight of production or clinical processes, so fully remote arrangements are uncommon. About 0% of senior quality manager openings tied to Louisiana are remote or hybrid as of October 2026, and those tend to be quality systems or compliance roles where documentation review and program oversight can be handled off-site.
How can I get hired as a senior quality manager in Louisiana with little or no experience?
The most realistic path is starting in a quality technician, quality inspector, or quality assurance coordinator role at one of Louisiana's large petrochemical or manufacturing employers, where you can build hands-on experience with ISO or API systems. Companies like ExxonMobil and Huntington Ingalls Industries run structured technical development programs that move entry-level quality staff into supervisory tracks over time. Earning an ASQ Certified Quality Improvement Associate credential early signals commitment to the profession and gives candidates without years of experience a concrete edge when applying to quality coordinator openings that lead upward.
Where can I find and apply to senior quality manager jobs in Louisiana?
