Senior Quality Manager Jobs in Texas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a senior quality manager in Texas?
The most direct path is a bachelor's degree in engineering or a quality-related field followed by progressive quality roles, typically moving from quality engineer to quality manager before reaching senior level. Texas does not require a state-issued license for most quality management roles, but earning ASQ credentials such as the Certified Quality Manager or Certified Quality Engineer is widely expected by Texas manufacturers, aerospace contractors, and medical device companies, and functions as the practical professional standard for advancement.
How much do senior quality managers make in Texas?
Senior quality managers in Texas earn a median of about $130,890 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $79,780 for the lowest 10% to over $207,880 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire senior quality managers in Texas?
Employers hiring senior quality managers in Texas right now include Amazon, Amazon Web Services, and Tesla, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Texas's concentration of aerospace, defense, semiconductor, and medical device manufacturers means demand is especially consistent at large multi-site operations with ongoing regulatory compliance needs.
Which Texas cities have the most senior quality manager jobs?
Austin, Houston, and Fort Worth have the most senior quality manager openings in Texas. Houston leads because of its oil and gas, petrochemical, and medical center industries, Dallas-Fort Worth follows with aerospace, defense, and electronics manufacturing anchored by employers like Raytheon and Texas Instruments, and San Antonio draws openings from defense contractors and medical device companies tied to the South Texas Medical Center corridor.
Are there remote senior quality manager jobs in Texas?
Yes, but they're rare. Quality management is a hands-on discipline that typically requires physical presence on production floors, in supplier facilities, or at regulated manufacturing sites, so fully remote roles are the exception. About 32% of senior quality manager openings tied to Texas are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, and those roles tend to involve supplier quality auditing, quality systems documentation, or corporate compliance functions that can be performed off-site.
How can I get hired as a senior quality manager in Texas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is landing a quality engineer or quality technician role at a Texas manufacturer and building toward management from there. Large Texas employers in aerospace and medical devices, including those in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and the Texas Medical Center in Houston, regularly hire quality engineers without senior experience and develop them through internal rotations and supplier audit programs. Earning an ASQ Certified Quality Improvement Associate or Certified Quality Engineer credential early accelerates that progression and signals readiness for management responsibility.
Where can I find and apply to senior quality manager jobs in Texas?
You can find and apply to senior quality manager jobs in Texas on Migrate Mate, which lists current Texas openings from employers actively hiring. Find roles that fit your background and apply directly to the ones that match.
