Solution Manager Jobs in Texas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a solution manager in Texas?
Most solution manager roles in Texas require a bachelor's degree in business, information systems, or engineering, combined with experience in technical sales, IT services, or enterprise implementation. Texas does not require a state-issued license for this role. Candidates who advance quickly tend to hold certifications like PMP, ITIL Foundation, or a vendor-specific credential from AWS, Microsoft, or Salesforce, which Texas employers across energy, healthcare IT, and financial services reference consistently in job listings.
Which companies hire solution managers in Texas?
Employers hiring solution managers in Texas right now include Deloitte, HP, and Imubit, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Texas's concentration of large technology, energy, and healthcare organizations means hiring tends to be steady throughout the year rather than seasonal.
Which Texas cities have the most solution manager jobs?
Houston, Austin, and Irving have the most solution manager openings in Texas. Dallas-Fort Worth's dense concentration of corporate headquarters and managed service providers drives the bulk of demand, while Houston's energy and healthcare sectors and Austin's fast-growing technology industry keep all three metros consistently active for this role.
Are there remote solution manager jobs in Texas?
Yes, and more than many roles, since solution management is largely strategic and communication-driven rather than on-site. About 75% of solution manager openings tied to Texas are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting how widely Texas employers have adopted flexible work for client-facing and pre-sales functions. Pre-sales and discovery phases tend to be the most remote-friendly parts of the role.
How can I get hired as a solution manager in Texas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving from an adjacent role such as technical support specialist, implementation consultant, or sales engineer at a Texas-based technology or services company. Large Texas employers like Dell Technologies, NTT Data, and Hewlett Packard Enterprise run associate solutions and technical account management programs that take candidates without direct solution manager experience. Earning an ITIL Foundation or AWS Cloud Practitioner certification before applying gives candidates a concrete edge in Texas listings that emphasize cloud and managed services delivery.
