Solution Manager Jobs in California: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a solution manager in California?
Solution manager roles in California do not require a state-issued license, but most employers expect a bachelor's degree in business, information technology, or a related field alongside hands-on experience in solution delivery or technical sales. California hiring managers frequently look for candidates who hold industry credentials such as PMP, ITIL, or platform-specific certifications from Salesforce or AWS. Building experience in pre-sales, implementation, or customer success roles at California technology or healthcare companies is the most direct path into the role.
Which companies hire solution managers in California?
Employers hiring solution managers in California right now include NVIDIA, Esri, and TikTok, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. California's concentration of enterprise software companies, health systems, and defense contractors means demand for solution managers is distributed across industries rather than tied to a single sector.
Which California cities have the most solution manager jobs?
San Francisco, San Jose, and Los Angeles have the most solution manager openings in California. The Bay Area and Los Angeles lead because of their dense clusters of enterprise technology firms, corporate headquarters, and large health systems, while San Diego draws significant volume from defense contractors and biotech companies that rely heavily on solution management for complex client engagements.
Are there remote solution manager jobs in California?
Yes, and more than most fields. Solution manager work is largely client-facing and strategic rather than hands-on, making it well suited to remote and hybrid arrangements. About 27% of solution manager openings tied to California are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting how widely California technology employers have adopted flexible work models. The parts of the role most likely to stay remote are discovery calls, solution design workshops, and account coordination.
How can I get hired as a solution manager in California with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry point is a customer success associate, sales engineer, or implementation specialist role at a California technology or healthcare IT company, then transitioning internally once you have documented solution delivery experience. Large California employers including Salesforce, Oracle, and Kaiser Permanente run associate and early-career programs that place candidates in client-facing technical roles. Earning a Salesforce Administrator or AWS Cloud Practitioner certification and building a portfolio of solved client problems gives candidates a concrete edge when applying without direct solution manager experience.
Where can I find and apply to solution manager jobs in California?
You can find and apply to solution manager jobs in California on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from employers hiring across the state right now. Search the available roles, identify the ones that match your background and preferred location, and apply directly to the positions that fit.
