Solution Manager Jobs in Washington: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a solution manager in Washington?
Most solution manager roles in Washington require a bachelor's degree in business, information systems, or computer science, combined with experience in a technical or client-facing role. Washington does not require a state-issued license to work as a solution manager. Employers in the Seattle-Bellevue technology corridor typically look for candidates with backgrounds in presales, solutions consulting, or product management, and many value certifications from Microsoft, AWS, or a recognized project management body as a concrete differentiator.
Which companies hire solution managers in Washington?
Employers hiring solution managers in Washington right now include TikTok, HP, and Microsoft, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Washington's deep concentration of enterprise technology firms and large healthcare systems means solution manager roles appear across both product companies and professional services organizations with major regional offices.
Which Washington cities have the most solution manager jobs?
Seattle, Redmond, and Vancouver have the most solution manager openings in Washington. Seattle and Bellevue drive the bulk of demand because they are home to a dense cluster of enterprise technology headquarters and large consulting firms, while Redmond generates significant volume through Microsoft's campus and its extensive partner and vendor ecosystem.
Are there remote solution manager jobs in Washington?
Yes, and more than most fields. Solution management is predominantly a communication and coordination role, which makes it well suited to remote and hybrid arrangements. About 17% of solution manager openings tied to Washington are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting employer flexibility across the technology and professional services sectors. The parts of the role most commonly performed remotely are client presentations, solution design sessions, and internal stakeholder coordination.
How can I get hired as a solution manager in Washington with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving into a solution manager role from an adjacent position such as solutions consultant, technical account manager, or business analyst. Large Washington technology employers including Microsoft and Amazon run associate and rotational programs that place early-career candidates into client-facing technical roles that feed directly into solution management tracks. Building a portfolio that demonstrates a completed solution design or a presales process, and earning an entry-level cloud certification, significantly strengthens applications at Washington-based technology and consulting firms.
Where can I find and apply to solution manager jobs in Washington?
