Pricing Manager Jobs in Texas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a pricing manager in Texas?
Most pricing managers in Texas enter the field through a bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business, or engineering, followed by analyst-level roles in pricing, revenue management, or FP&A. No state-issued license is required for this role in Texas. Earning a Certified Pricing Professional designation from the Professional Pricing Society strengthens candidacy considerably, and many Texas employers in energy and technology explicitly favor candidates with that credential or an MBA.
Which companies hire pricing managers in Texas?
Employers hiring pricing managers in Texas right now include Alvarez & Marsal, McKesson, and Fluor, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Texas's concentration of Fortune 500 energy, technology, and retail headquarters means demand is spread across a wide range of industries rather than concentrated in any single sector.
Which Texas cities have the most pricing manager jobs?
Irving, Dallas, and Austin hold the most pricing manager openings in Texas. Houston's energy and petrochemical industry drives the highest volume, Dallas's headquarters density in telecom, retail, and financial services supports strong demand, and Austin's fast-growing technology and SaaS sector has expanded pricing team hiring significantly over the past several years.
Are there remote pricing manager jobs in Texas?
Yes, and more than most fields. Pricing management is an analytical and strategic desk role, making it well suited to remote and hybrid arrangements. About 88% of pricing manager openings tied to Texas are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting how broadly distributed this work has become. Strategic pricing and SaaS pricing roles tend to be the most remote-friendly, while positions requiring close coordination with on-site manufacturing or retail operations are more likely to be in-office.
How can I get hired as a pricing manager in Texas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through a pricing analyst or revenue analyst role at a large Texas employer, then building toward management from within. Major Texas energy companies and retailers run rotational finance programs where participants move through pricing functions. Lateral moves from roles in financial planning and analysis, sales operations, or supply chain are common. Completing the Certified Pricing Professional coursework or building a portfolio of pricing model work in Excel or Python gives candidates without direct experience a concrete edge when applying.
Where can I find and apply to pricing manager jobs in Texas?
You can find and apply to pricing manager jobs in Texas on Migrate Mate, which lists current Texas openings across industries and experience levels. Find roles that fit your background and apply directly to each one.
