Senior Quality Manager Jobs in Washington: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a senior quality manager in Washington?
The most direct path is a bachelor's degree in engineering or a technical field, followed by progressive quality roles in one of Washington's dominant industries: aerospace, medical devices, or technology hardware. Washington has no state-issued license for this role, but employers strongly favor ASQ credentials such as the Certified Quality Manager or Certified Quality Engineer. Candidates who advance through Boeing's or a medical device manufacturer's quality programs often move into senior roles within those same organizations.
How much do senior quality managers make in Washington?
Senior quality managers in Washington earn a median of about $145,210 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $112,970 for the lowest 10% to over $213,930 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire senior quality managers in Washington?
Companies currently hiring senior quality managers in Washington include Amazon, Apple, and Astronics, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Washington's aerospace, medical technology, and cloud infrastructure sectors drive particularly steady demand for senior quality leadership throughout the year.
Which Washington cities have the most senior quality manager jobs?
Seattle, Redmond, and Kirkland have the most senior quality manager openings in Washington. Seattle and Bellevue draw heavily from the region's technology and healthcare sectors, while Everett's concentration reflects Boeing's major commercial aviation production facilities and the dense aerospace supply chain that surrounds them.
Are there remote senior quality manager jobs in Washington?
Yes, but they're relatively limited. Senior quality management is heavily hands-on in Washington's manufacturing and regulated industries, requiring physical presence for audits, production floor oversight, and supplier visits. About 67% of senior quality manager openings tied to Washington are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, and those tend to cover supplier quality management, documentation systems, or quality systems program oversight rather than direct production roles.
How can I get hired as a senior quality manager in Washington with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry point is a quality engineer or quality assurance analyst role within Washington's aerospace or medical device sectors, where structured rotational programs at large manufacturers provide exposure to auditing, regulatory compliance, and process improvement. Boeing and mid-size medical device companies in the Seattle metro regularly hire quality engineers and promote from within. Earning an ASQ Certified Quality Engineer credential early signals commitment and accelerates the path to senior responsibilities in Washington's credential-conscious manufacturing environment.
Where can I find and apply to senior quality manager jobs in Washington?
