Job Description
This position will be responsible for the analysis, design, testing, development and maintenance of best in class software experiences. The candidate is a self-motivated individual who can collaborate with a team and across the organization. The candidate takes responsibility of the software artifacts produced adhering to U.S. Bank standards in order to ensure minimal impact to the customer experience. The candidate will be adept with the agile software development lifecycle and DevOps principles.
Essential Responsibilities:
Design, develop, test, deploy, and support highly scalable, secure, and resilient applications using Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and Cloud-Native Architectures.
Lead the design and implementation of Blockchain Connectivity, Digital Asset Servicing, Tokenization, Custody Solutions, Settlement Processing, and Real-Time Payments.
Build and optimize Event-Driven Architectures, APIs, integration services, and high-volume transaction processing platforms.
Develop enterprise solutions for mission-critical financial systems with a focus on Scalability, Performance, Reliability, and Security.
Partner with business, product, architecture, operations, compliance, risk, and security teams to deliver innovative technical solutions.
Drive engineering excellence through Domain-Driven Design (DDD), API-First Development, DevOps, Automation, and Secure Coding Practices.
Lead architecture reviews, code reviews, technical design sessions, and governance activities to ensure alignment with enterprise standards.
Champion Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles, proactive monitoring, observability, and continuous platform improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
- Five to six years of relevant experience
Required Skills & Experience
Advanced expertise in Java, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Microservices Architecture, and enterprise application development.
Strong experience building and deploying applications on Cloud Platforms with Containerization and Kubernetes.
Expertise in Event-Driven Systems using Apache Kafka or similar messaging technologies.
Deep understanding of Distributed Systems, Object-Oriented Design, Software Design Patterns, and Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
Experience designing and supporting High-Throughput, Low-Latency, and Mission-Critical Transaction Processing Systems.
Strong knowledge of CI/CD Pipelines, Infrastructure Automation, Observability, Monitoring, and modern DevOps Practices.
Understanding of Digital Assets, Blockchain Technologies, Tokenization Platforms, and Enterprise Blockchain Integration.
Knowledge of Stablecoins, Digital Wallets, Tokenized Asset Lifecycles, Custody Models, Settlement Workflows, and Blockchain-Based Transaction Processing.
Passion for Emerging Technologies, innovation, and continuous learning within the digital assets ecosystem.
Location expectations
This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. Pay Range: $111,605.00 - $131,300.00U.S. Bank will consider qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records for employment.
