Role: Senior Blazor UI / UX Developer
Location : Remote (Occasional Meetings in DC area)
Duration: Long Term Contract

Job Summary:
Provides advanced UI development, integration, and technical guidance for complex editor functionality, including XML-driven rendering architecture, UI consistency, and interaction workflows.
Core Responsibilities:
- Design and implement UI architecture patterns supporting dynamic document rendering and interactive editing.
- Define, oversee, and review the translation of XML content received from middle-tier services into structured, interactive HTML representations.
- Develop and review JavaScript code that directly interacts with the DOM object model to support complex editing scenarios.
- Ensure UI components properly integrate with application state, commands, validation, and review workflows.
- Adhere to established CSS standards (such as BEM) to ensure UI consistency and maintainability.
- Adhere to established JavaScript coding standards to ensure secure and maintainable client-side behavior.
- Write and review security-compliant UI code, including safe handling of user input and DOM manipulation.
- Support and enforce source control best practices using Azure DevOps Git, including code reviews and controlled merges.
- Establish and maintain consistent UI/UX standards across menus, toolbars, docking panels, dialogs, and editor surfaces.
- Provide technical guidance to other developers related to UI behavior, performance, extensibility, and maintainability.
Required Expertise:
- A minimum of seven (7) years of professional experience developing complex web-based applications.
- At least five (5) years of experience using C#, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS in production environments.
- Advanced experience developing Blazor Server applications.
- Advanced experience with JavaScript interop and DOM-based UI manipulation.
- Strong understanding of XML-based document models, including schema-driven content and structured document semantics.
- Experience defining or overseeing XML-to-HTML translation strategies for document-centric applications.
- Familiarity with industry-standard XML frameworks such as DITA, DocBook, or equivalent custom XML schemas.
Certification Requirements:
- At least one (1) of the following certifications, or an equivalent certification approved by the Government:
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate (AZ-204).
- Microsoft Certified: .NET Developer (legacy or current equivalent).
- CIW Advanced HTML5 & CSS3 Specialist.
- CIW JavaScript Specialist Equivalent certifications may be accepted at the Government’s discretion.
