Job Description:
Senior Database Engineer with 10+ years of experience in data governance to design, implement, and manage enterprise-wide data governance frameworks.
The candidate must be able to establish and maintain robust metadata, data lineage, and master data management practices while ensuring alignment with organizational policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
The position also demands hands-on experience integrating Collibra with modern data platforms, supporting business users in self-service data discovery, and leveraging automation and AI/ML capabilities to enhance data quality, streamline metadata ingestion, and optimize governance processes.
Data Governance Collibra Integration
Define and implement data governance frameworks using Collibra.
Ensure data cataloging, data lineage, and data stewardship are maintained within Collibra.
Work with business and IT teams to establish data policies, standards, and ownership.
Metadata Master Data Management (MDM)
Design and maintain enterprise metadata models and ensure metadata tagging aligns with Collibra.
Oversee data classification, business glossaries, and data dictionaries within Collibra.
Collaborate with teams to ensure consistent and accurate master data across systems.
Data Architecture Strategy
Define data models, standards, and principles for structured and unstructured data.
Work on data integration strategies to align disparate data sources with governance frameworks.
Ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations like GDPR, CCPA, and federal standards.
Team Collaboration Stakeholder Management
Partner with CDO, Data Stewards, Engineers, and Analysts to ensure data usability and trustworthiness.

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
10+ years of relevant experience.
Strong knowledge of metadata management, data lineage, and master data management (MDM) practices.
Hands-on expertise integrating Collibra (or similar, e.g., Informatica) with modern data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, AWS).
Solid understanding of data architecture principles, data modeling, and data integration strategies.
