Who's Hiring

Service Technician Jobs in Sarasota: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a service technician job in Sarasota?
The strongest hiring in Sarasota comes from HVAC and refrigeration companies serving the area's hospitality and restaurant corridor, medical equipment firms tied to the hospital and specialty clinic cluster near Cattlemen Road, and commercial property management outfits maintaining the condos and resort properties along Tamiami Trail. Candidates with manufacturer certifications for equipment brands common in Florida's climate, a clean driving record, and experience working within tight service-call windows stand out in this market.
Which companies hire service technicians in Sarasota?
Companies currently hiring service technicians in Sarasota include Ring Power Corporation, QXO, and Tesla, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. The local employer mix leans toward regional service contractors, healthcare equipment distributors, and facility management companies serving Sarasota's dense hospitality and senior living sectors.
Are there remote service technician jobs in Sarasota?
Yes, but rarely for the role in its traditional form, since most service technician work is hands-on and requires an on-site presence. About 11% of service technician openings tied to Sarasota are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and those tend to be technical support, warranty coordination, or field service documentation roles attached to larger equipment companies operating in the area.
How can I get a service technician job in Sarasota with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path locally is through a helper or apprentice role with one of Sarasota's HVAC or commercial refrigeration contractors, several of whom recruit through Suncoast Technical College's skilled trades programs. Senior living communities and medical equipment distributors near the Sarasota Memorial Health Care System campus also hire entry-level technicians for preventive maintenance and equipment delivery roles, where on-the-job training is standard and a strong work ethic matters more than a formal credential.
