How much do social media content creators make in New York?
Social media content creators in New York earn a median of about $98,580 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $56,070 for the lowest 10% to over $165,920 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.

Which New York cities have the most social media content creator jobs?
New York, Port Washington, and Rochester have the most social media content creator openings in New York. New York City drives the vast majority of demand given its density of media conglomerates, ad agencies, and consumer brand headquarters, while Brooklyn and Long Island City have grown as hubs for independent studios, digital-first publishers, and creative agencies that rely heavily on content teams.
