Videographer & Social Media Manager (Full-Time)
About Spring Brook Marine Group
Spring Brook Marine Group is a luxury boat dealer serving the Great Lakes, with roots going back to 1961 in Seneca, IL. We sell and service Prestige, Pardo, Cranchi, Sirena and Barletta from Chicago (River East), Seneca, IL and Muskegon, MI (Adelaide Pointe), with sales coverage in Fish Creek, WI and Traverse City, MI.
The role
This is a full-time, salaried position, based at our Chicago (River East) location and reporting to our marketing manager. You'll own our video and social media year-round. That means shooting, editing and posting the content that sells our boats and shows off life on the water.
Most of your work is in and around Chicago. You'll also travel now and then to our other Great Lakes locations and to Florida boat shows and events.
What you'll do
- Plan, shoot and edit video for new arrivals, listings, walkthroughs, sea trials and customer deliveries
- Make short-form content for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and YouTube, plus longer YouTube features
- Run our social accounts day to day: the content calendar, posting, captions, comments and DMs
- Cover Chicago-area events, and travel to other locations and Florida boat shows when needed
- Shoot aerial footage by drone, following FAA Part 107 rules
- Work with the marketing manager and sales team to plan content around inventory, promotions and the selling season
- Supply video and photo assets for our website, listings, email and paid ads
- Track performance every month and report what's working, what isn't and what you'd change

- Live in the Chicago area, with a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Willing to travel now and then to our other locations and to Florida shows and events, including some weekends
- Organized and able to manage your own time and a full content calendar
Nice to have

Social Media Specialist Jobs in Chicago: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a social media specialist job in Chicago?
Focus on Chicago's agency corridor in River North and the Loop, where digital marketing agencies and integrated communications firms hire consistently. Retail and consumer brands headquartered in the metro area, along with Chicago's large hospital networks and financial services firms, also post regularly. A portfolio showing platform-specific results, community management work, and paid social campaigns gives you a clear edge over candidates with credentials alone.
Which companies hire social media specialists in Chicago?
Companies currently hiring social media specialists in Chicago include 321 The Agency, Green Thumb Industries, and American Medical Association (AMA), per current listings on Migrate Mate as of November 2026. Chicago's mix of corporate headquarters, regional agency offices, and fast-growing consumer brands means openings show up across a wide range of employer sizes and sectors.
Are there remote social media specialist jobs in Chicago?
Yes, social media specialist work is well-suited to remote arrangements because most core tasks, including content scheduling, analytics, and community management, require only a laptop and platform access. About 60% of social media specialist openings tied to Chicago are remote or hybrid as of November 2026, with in-person expectations more common at agencies and brands that require on-site shoots or live event coverage.
How can I get a social media specialist job in Chicago with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Chicago is through a coordinator or content assistant role at one of the city's many independent agencies or mid-size brands in Fulton Market or the West Loop. Chicago's nonprofit sector and healthcare organizations also hire entry-level social media support staff and offer structured onboarding. A portfolio built on freelance work, a student organization account, or a personal brand that demonstrates real engagement growth will stand out to local hiring managers over a resume alone.
Which industries hire the most social media specialists in Chicago?
Most social media specialist openings in Chicago sit in Transportation & Logistics, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of November 2026. Chicago's density of agency headquarters, major retail and CPG brands, and one of the country's largest healthcare systems creates consistent, year-round demand across those sectors.
