Position Overview:  
Demands are required to settle all cases, whether they are in pre-litigation or in litigation. Demands initiate the negotiation process and supplementary documentation is used to further negotiate to an appropriate settlement for the client. Demands are paramount to negotiation and to progressing the case towards recovery. The Demand writer will be responsible for drafting initial demands for all cases when they are ready for negotiations to begin.
Responsibilities: 
- Execute directives and legal tasks assigned by AJZ.
- Attend case management and paralegal department meetings. Notate cases approved for escalation to pre-lit negotiation and draft associated demands.
- Prepare demands for litigation cases as assigned by the lead attorney.
- Review complete case file in Neos and all associated medical records in order to prepare demand and begin negotiation process.
- Review all prepared demands with Lead Attorneys and pre-lit negotiators and edit drafts accordingly.
- Other duties as assigned

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill or abilities required as a pre-requisite to the position.  
Relevant Job Skills and Abilities: 
- In-depth plaintiff knowledge to maximize client compensation
- Strong organizational and time management abilities to handle high-priority cases, coordinate multiple deadlines, and maintain meticulously organized records and case files.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling clear and professional interactions with clients, staff and other attorneys
- Highly analytical and detail-oriented, skilled in preparing accurate specials summaries, treatment updates, and settlement statements with precision.
- Proficient in managing staff including timeliness, organization and ability to have difficult conversations with staff and the ability to support professional growth of others
Education and/or Experience Required: 
1-3 Years Experience in Plaintiff Litigation
Bachelors Degree in Paralegal Studies or other related field
Physical Demands of the Job: 
While performing job duties, staff may be sitting for an extended period of time. Job responsibilities may also require occasional lifting up to 10 lbs. Frequent use of telephone and computer is required.  
Benefits:
Health Insurance coverage is available 60 days after hire. New Employees receive Zayed Law Offices clothing after 4 weeks of employment. PTO, both vacation and sick days are available after 6 months of employment. Annual paid time off consists of 2 weeks of vacation, 2 days of sick leave and 4 flex hours. Working lunches are provided on occasion to support employee health and productivity.
Performance Standards & Review: 
All Zayed Law Offices Employees complete a 90-day probationary period in their employment to ensure that they are in the right role and in compliance with the basic position requirements. All employees have an annual review in which their professional progress in the law office is monitored. Reviews are kept in HR files for the employees and are confidential.
Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
