Who's Hiring

Software Support Specialist Jobs in Memphis: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a software support specialist job in Memphis?
Target the sectors that drive Memphis hiring: healthcare systems, third-party logistics platforms, and regional financial services firms all maintain dedicated software support teams. Jobs concentrate in East Memphis, the Medical Center district, and the suburban corridors toward Germantown. Candidates who can demonstrate ticketing system experience, strong written communication, and familiarity with EHR or supply-chain software stand out in this market.
Which companies hire software support specialists in Memphis?
Memphis software support specialist roles are posted by US Department of Veterans Affairs, ABB, and Itb and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Memphis employers skew toward large regional health networks, global logistics and distribution companies, and mid-size financial technology firms, all of which maintain ongoing support operations.
Are there remote software support specialist jobs in Memphis?
Yes, though availability depends on the role: desk-based tiers that handle tickets and remote diagnostics are far more likely to go remote than positions requiring on-site hardware or lab access. About 23% of software support specialist openings tied to Memphis are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and fully remote positions tend to be concentrated in SaaS and healthcare IT support functions.
How can I get a software support specialist job in Memphis with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Memphis is through a tier-one help desk role at one of the city's large healthcare networks or logistics companies, which regularly hire candidates with CompTIA A+ or an associate degree from Southwest Tennessee Community College. From there, internal promotions into software-specific support are common. Emphasizing customer-facing experience, any scripting exposure, and familiarity with ticketing platforms gives entry-level applicants a concrete edge locally.
