What you’ll do:
- Collect components for soil mixes
- Create soil mixes and mail out samples to various labs for testing
- Download test results and send to salesman
- Post results on shared drive
- Work through specs for upcoming jobs
- Generate custom mixes for jobs
- Use oven to dry out soils that need to be ran through sieve shaker
- Sieve Shaker as well as calculating the gradation and generating a report
- Weighing different materials
- Working in the field as well in the quality control lab
- Being in charge of all certifications for all certified products
- Collaborate with other departments
- Work with salesmen, managers, landscaping companies and landscape architects
- Bachelor's degree required
- Bachelor's in Soil Science Preferred
- Knowledge in agriculture and/or soil science
- Work individually or with a team
- Lifting over 70 pounds
- Use various lab equipment (pH meter/EC meter,Texture Analysis in house)
- Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds or more
