INTRODUCTION
The organization seeks a Software Engineer – Specialist who will design, develop, and implement software solutions that support business processes and improve guest experiences. The role will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, build scalable web and mobile applications, and uphold accessibility best practices. The engineer will participate across the software development lifecycle, contribute to DevOps activities, and maintain clear technical documentation. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity, offering a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package. Qualified applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis.
LOCATION
Hybrid 3 days on site in Prairie du Sac, WI
SALARY
Salary: $80,000 - $85,000/yr. w2
Responsibilities
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle including planning, estimation, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software issues.
- Participate in code reviews to enhance development practices and quality.
- Collaborate to design, develop, test, and maintain web and mobile applications.
- Work with design and QA teams to implement accessibility best practices including screen reader compatibility, keyboard navigation, and high-contrast interfaces.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation including user manuals and technical guides.
- Support basic DevOps tasks including deployment pipelines, environment configuration, and application monitoring.
- Advance professional and technical knowledge through training, reading, conferences, and professional organizations.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- 2 to 4 years of experience in software engineering.
- Proficiency in one or more: C#, React, Node.js, SQL, or Python.
- Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of testing methodologies including unit, integration, and automated testing frameworks.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting of complex software issues.
- Attention to detail with commitment to high-quality software solutions.
- Effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of software design principles and architectural patterns.
- Experience with React Native and mobile app development for iOS and Android (preferred).
- Experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud services (preferred).
- Experience with NoSQL databases (preferred).
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform (preferred).
- Experience using APIs from leading LLM providers such as OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, or Anthropic (preferred).
- Ability to integrate LLMs into applications such as chatbots, summarization tools, or code assistants (preferred).
- Proficiency implementing accessible user interfaces including screen reader support, keyboard navigation, and semantic HTML (preferred).
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
- Azure certification (preferred).
- Scrum certification (preferred).
